Class you're most scared of taking this upcoming year?

Honestly, AP Physics C is the hardest class I’ll have… I got a 5 on the AP Lang test so AP Lit shouldn’t be too hard… Swimming (only hard because I have pressure on me to break a record) and Clubs (I’m a leader of one and a project manager in the other… But they meet on the same day) will be the hardest to deal with.

AP Lit because I can already tell it’s going to be a bear of a class. Also probably Physics C. So not looking forward to this year.

Probably chemistry or spanish II. Or AP Euro since it’s apparently an easier AP but still my first one. I’m actually least worried about my accelerated/honors classes, haha.

@imbep49
What resources are you using to self-study physics C? I’m also doing that and so far I’ve bought 5 steps to a 5 and the university physics textbook. Do you have a study plan yet?

A Level Chemistry and Physics. I no most of u go by the American system, but trust me British curriculum is HARD.

@Sidney00 I TOOK AP COMP SCI THIS YEAR AND WAS TERRIFIED!! But honestly, it isn’t too bad once you get used to it. Do you have any experience with coding at all?

AP Biology…

APUSH and self studying AP micro or macro

no I just took it for AP but Im kinda regretting it a bit

IB Spanish.

It’s a cross between APUSH and AP Lang. I’m comfortable with the material, but I have no clue how hard the teachers are when it comes to grading.

AP Latin

@otonanokaidan I just bought the Princeton Review 2016 Physics C book. Apart from that I think I will just use various online resources to study deeper on topics that PR might not cover. I’m also considering buying Mooney’s AP Advantage Physics C.

@imbep49 I’m actually a little concerned because I really want the double 5’s (MIT, my top choice, offers credit only for 5 on E&M and Mech both), but this is my first physics course (I’ll also be taking physics honors in school concurrently). I know basic physics from various self-study and science bowl. I’m in calc BC this year and I think I can definitely handle all the new material, but only if I study efficiently. Do you have any schedule you’re following, like get to X chapter by october?

2, AP World History and Precalculus. I got the toughest teacher for World at my school this year, but people say that he apparently prepares people really well for the AP exam, and has a high 5 rate. I am also worried about Precalculus because I know literally nobody in my block as of right now. All of my friends taking it either have a different teacher or are in the block right before me… :frowning:

@otonanokaidan I am going to write a schedule this week. I am worried as well since I really want to get 5’s but I don’t know if I’ll have time during my junior year. I am super busy September (preparing for SAT II’s and for a math competition at MIT  ) and during January-February (preparing for USABO and AMC 12). I’ve taken honors physics freshman year but forgot most of the material. I don’t know if I should study E&M and Mech simultaneously or one at a time though.

definitely my math class, Precalc! I did so badly last year oh my god…

Mostly just the combination of intense classes leading to a demanding schedule, but for a single class either AP English (I’ve done 2 years of pre-AP with mixed results. Good writer but bad when remembering stuff about books) or AP Physics (first AP science, wanted to take AP Chem this year but scheduling issues led to Physics)

I’m most scared for AP Physics II and AP Calc AB. I’m awful at math so I’m completely terrified. For those of you scared of AP Biology, it surprisingly wasn’t that bad. I 100% thought I would to awful, but I ended with a B+ in the class and a 4 on the exam, which I was shocked by.

I’m super scared for APUSH and my Pre-AP Lit class. We’ll see how this goes…
