Transferring fall 2012 with summer class 2012

Is this possible?

Can I apply for a school. UCLA in particular if I still need to take 1 class during the summer before transfering.

Thanks

You can apply, but I doubt you would get in. Please provide more detail for better feedback.

Alright, Im pretty backed up in math. So the class I will be taking is Calculus Semester 2 because you need a year of Calc for business school which is what I want to major in.

That would be the only class I would be taking in the summer 2012.
Will that affect me at all? I will have over 60 units completed by that time regardless of this class.

anyone out there?

please help!

Okay so let me get this straight. You want to major in business which requires you to take calc. But you cant finish the calc requirment until summer 2012 right? And you want to transfer the fall of 2012? Okay well if thats it then, my guess would be no, they will not allow that. When I talked to my counselor about a year ago I remember he told me that schools won’t look at courses prior to the summer of transfering, they USE to do that but because of budget cuts they discontinued it. But don’t completely take my word for it.

thank you so much for the reply! but I know I’m going to have to talk to my CCC counselor although they aren’t much help. But yes what you said is correct. It will be my second semester in calc since i will be taking the first semester in spring 2012.

you won’t get into ucla biz econ without finishing all the prereqs by spring. There are 4.0’s rejected because calculus II wasn’t finished if you look through the accepted/rejected threads. With a 14% acceptance rate there really is no leeway.

dang, looks like I’m in a bad situation then. So then I’ll have to be in CCC for 3 years?

try to goto a quarter system school and take calculus 1 in the winter and calculus 2 in the spring.

what is a quarter system school? and would it speed things up for me?
