@kaylamissy I actually do not know a lot about the bridge program. Unless you know someone in it, it’s not mentioned frequently around here.
If there was not any mention of scholarship $ in acceptance letter, would you assume that he is not being offered any? Or does that come later?
The bridge students go to tri county tech school and live in avery nice apartment complex. All the classes transfer into Clemson but you don’t take that GPA with you. Your GPA is determined by the classes you take at Clemson. Some majors like health science don’t accept bridge . Not a bad deal if you are serious about going to Clemson.
@sfaulk Yes scholarship $ is offered in acceptance letter.
@sfaulk if you get merit aid, which they give very little of, you typically hear before the new year.
Daughter received acceptance today. Instate; GPA 3.8UW; 4.4 weighted, SAT 1300; class rank top 10%; major - Early Childhood Education.
Whew!
Was she also able to see her acceptance on line?
No online acceptance; but instructions in mailed packet for how to make deposit on line, begin signing up for housing, dining, etc.
I received my acceptance letter today, but there was no mention anywhere about being offered scholarship money. Does that mean I don’t get any? When I applied I had a 31 ACT, 1420 SAT (new), a weighted GPA of 4.507 (standard South Carolina scale, I’m in-state), 3 APs and an UW GPA of 3.634, and I’m taking 6 APs this year so I think my rigorous class load this year is a factor too. Ranked 37 out 338. Should I have been offered scholarship money? Is it only offered in the initial acceptance letter?
@zeta67 well for OOS it’s mentioned in the offer letter. Just search twitter for #tigertownbound and see pictures of the letters that many kids posted.
I was accepted OOS with a 3.8UW and 1350 SAT with 5 AP pre business
@zeta67 I’m pretty sure it’s offered in your acceptance letter. But if you are in state, you should have the Life, or Hope Scholarship?
@zeta67 if you get academic scholarships, you get your acceptance earlier than the major release.
accepted OOS
ACT: 33
UW GPA: 3.7/4
APS: 6
and fairly large academic scholarship
@jennacwa I got my acceptance yesterday with an academic scholarship
Oh, interesting, I thought you didn’t have to wait as long for the general academic scholarships (not department or for a specific thing or whatever) @college11010
@college11010 What major?
Ahh I wasn’t able to get into my first choice major (computer science) but I did get into my second choice (graphic communication). Does anyone know how easy it is to switch from college of business to college of engineering?
