It is definitely a money grab… I didn’t apply for aid, I’m OOS, and I got the summer program.

They do not waive OOS tuition. I asked the financial aid office about this. They said that a merit scholarship helps to offset the OOS portion of tuition (hence referring to it as a tuition waiver). It’s a bit of a misnomer in my opinion.

I had a 1330 SAT and 3.73 uw 4.4 w hoping I can maybe qualify for the in state tuition if not Clemson is a no go for me as I’m OOS

I’ve just seen previous forums mention this
same like I had really good EC, 8 AP classes, high gpa, varsity captain, and more. I’m OOS from Chicago and flying all the way there to take like 2 classes is more money and time that I wasn’t prepared to give. this is a tough blow.
Same thing for my son.
