Clemson Class of 2025 Admissions

I have found Clemson’s situation weirdly fascinating (though sharing in the frustration on how long it’s all taking). A 65 percent increase in apps vs. 2020, but yet still with rolling admissions in waves, has made the usual not admit/admit/admit with merit algorithm all screwy I’m sure. And this is on top of budgetary considerations being offered by other posters on this thread.

Same. Lol

I’m eager to hear back about merit aid from Clemson as well. But don’t get too frustrated…I’m still waiting on an admissions decision from UGA. Applied there October 15 and got deferred from the EA round. The final decisions release next Friday. At least with Clemson I got an admissions decision quickly, though I know some did not. This admissions process is very unpredictable overall. It’s hard to have patience but we’ve gotta try!

My D21 received a merit offer within a month of her acceptance (received in mid-December) to College of Charleston.

Did we need to fill out the FAFSA in order to be considered for merit scholarships?

My decision letter in December said I would have an academic/merit scholarship, but I didn’t file my FASFA til January.

does anyone have any insight on when exactly merit might be coming out (other than “mid-march”)? I feel like we are so in the dark about this! :weary:

Getting really frustrated over here. Just send it already.

I wrote before my daughter dropped Clemson because she/we were sick of waiting. Bad year for Clemson administration. That and she received the gator scholarship at UF.

What is that? For people who got certain scholarships?

Clemson is on spring break next week. I had thought they’d release before they were all on break.

You’re right. I forgot… they’re about the only school to have spring break this year. God I hope it’s tonight then.

Univ of Maryland has spring break as well this next week

It’s for diversity scholarships, based on gender & geographical region or race & ethnicity, not merit. I’m unsure if it matters that they’ll be on spring break next week, since the department of financial has been working remotely the entire time? Plus, the scholarship event is scheduled during spring break. Hopefully if we don’t find out today, then we find out next week.

Hi everyone! I’m not sure if this has been answered already but if we were invited to an Orange Carpet reception does that mean that we are receiving the scholarship? Or is it another step to receive the scholarship?

Edit; There’s a forum from 2020 that says it’s an event for scholarship opportunities but both students in the forum did get scholarship offers after attending the event.

We don’t have personal experience with Orange Carpet, but it’s my understanding it’s another step in the scholarship process. If you were invited and wish to be considered for the program’s scholarships, I’d definitely attend. Think of it as a meet and greet with some influential alumni. I think EVERY college student should have their interview/elevator pitch ready to go at any moment. Have questions prepared and be confident in presenting your accomplishments. You never know when an opportunity to network may present itself. Good luck!
