im assuming we will only be notified if we are chosen to receive scholarships, right? otherwise we will just not hear anything about it?
No FAFSA needed. My son was informed he will be hearing about his scholarship “mid march”
Is there any official indication that today is the day for merit announcements? Or was that just speculation because 3/15 is “mid-March”?
Any thoughts on when “mid” March ends?
We’re now at the point we have started to forget about Clemson when talking through the options because without knowing the merit $ amount, we’re not sure if it’s an option or not.
It’s really just annoying at this point
Same. My D’s heart was set on Clemson, but it has dropped out of the conversation lately as she is coming to grips with the reality that it won’t be affordable. She’s starting to love the schools that love her back.
I do wonder if this will affect the school’s yield rate this year
just logged into my iROAR- it looks very different. like theres actual links and stuff you can use instead of just an error. It seems more like need based rather than merit though
mine is the same as it was last week; it still says no information available when I click for the award & general financial aid 21-22
before I could not even really get into the iROAR, I would be given an error message. Hoping this updated portal means its coming out soon.
Mine has been able to get into IROAR since she set it up last week. Not seeing any changes since then
I was able to log into my daughters account. Looks the same as before - says no information is available for the aid year.
same here
Anyone know when they tell u ur financial aid???
someone in the clemson class of 2025 facebook group said they spoke to the office of financial aid and apparently they said theyre really behind
another girl emailed and received the response that they “hope to send out the award notifications in the coming weeks” this is so frustrating, the last school admission decision im waiting on comes out this friday and I was expecting to be able to make a decision by then
they need to send out an email saying they’re delayed again imo… instead of having everyone wait around thinking we’re getting the information this week
Agreed. It’s now extremely frustrating. We have now been waiting on merit amount for over 4 months and have had every other schools’ decisions in hand for weeks now. For one school, they had provided everything before the end of January and are at “meet with your advisor to sign up for Fall classes.”
I think at this point we are mentally moving on and focusing on the other options.
and knowing how little money they typically give… this wait is far from worth it
I just called the financial aid office and the lady said she believes the packages will go out this week. So fingers crossed.
