@BeachtimeinNC Thanks for the information! When we visited in February, we had meetings in one of the Core buildings and had lunch at the dining facility, but we weren’t able to see any of the rooms.
@BeachtimeinNC Just wanted to thank you for the Core C room information. My son had room selection last night and was able to get one of the rooms with the 3 windows with the stadium view thanks to your insight!
@ProudSCMom My daughter got Core C DV valley view as well, no 3 window view but nonetheless very excited.
Nice avatar BTW…
@burghdad Thanks! You too! Yours looks more true orange though.
Congrats to your daughter on her room assignment. Glad housing is finalized. Now on to picking classes and orientation.
Core A end rooms look like they have the 3 full windows. 240/340/440/540. Site says most rooms in A are 17x10 but these end rooms are 25x15 I think. The layout page looks like these end rooms are bigger bc of the added length but it seems like the extra sf in the length is taken up by the door opening…is the living space w/ beds and desks etc still large enough or is it less because of the way the door opens to the rooms? Room selection tomorrow.
My daughter lived in A 440 this year, it’s more living space, closets are larger, width of the room more generous the view in these rooms are incredible natural light, sunsets and DV views . I have pics of the view if u want to see . Door does not take up more space , room is next to the stairs and a wet core bathroom.
Looks like it’s slim pickings at this point. No Cores left and no high rises for Freshmen. What to choose? Mauldin or the Shoeboxes?
Shoeboxes in a good location near DV and Core. That is where I would look to go.
