Clothes for Revisits

i was joking about how cold it was in minnesota and how used to the cold i am

Winter coats quite necessary. Andover's 34 at the moment.

Okay well at SPS I'm pretty sure you would stick out like a sore thumb. Kids wore sweaters and fleeces today.

however you should still bring your coats

For exeter, what would be too casual? (besides birthday suits)

You might want to check the information that came from the schools for the visit days. One school listed what would be appropriate to wear.

hockeykid....I've just been wearing my fleece, actually (I live very near St. Paul's). I think people are just sick of winter. My son was wearing sitting out on the deck in his shorts yesterday....spring fever happens no matter what the temp! I think, though, for people coming from a warm location, they would be uncomfortable without a warm enough jacket. A fleece is fine, though.

I'm going to revisit a school that has uniforms. I really don't want to wear anything dressy because I am going to be spending a good portion of the day in the barns. Do yall think it would be ok if I wore jeans with a really classy sweater over a polo?

If you are wondering hte weather, it will probably (according to accuweather.com) be around 40-45 in Mass. then 50-60 in DE, 40s in CT, 40s - 50s in RI, and in the low 40s for NH. Not sure if this really helps but if it does, your welcome :)

sorry, stateofhockey. i missed the MN thing. guess i was just day dreaming... palm trees... swimming suits...

Unless the uniform includes jeans, I would not wear jeans. You should really dress according to the dress code/uniform.

For andover, would it be alright to wear sneakers, white jeans, a collared shirt, and then an abercrombie sweatshirt over it... is that alright to wear?

artsmart - we all get that feeling

i think exeter's dress code is pretty lax, so i'm just gonna wear like nice (dark wash) jeans and a sweater type thing, or maybe some sort of sweater dress.

i heard guys HAVE to wear a tie during class, collared shirts or sweater prefered on girls, but for some reason they are more lenient for girls

Guys do indeed have to wear a tie, that or a turtleneck.

When I went for revisit I felt under dressed and out of place. I'd advise for the guys to wear a shirt and tie, with jeans and either dress shoes or some not ridiculous looking sneakers.

it is not cold here at all, its like 40-50 during the day and that does not equal to cold. I usually dont even wear a sweater to school these days. Although if you are from the carribean that might be a tad cold. There is absolutely no nead for winter coats and there is NO snow on the ground here in andover. Check the weather though, just in case cause things can get wild

?????????? hel-lo theres still feet of snow on ground. it may be 30-40, but there's windchill. i mean, i don't wear sweaters to school, but you definitly need a good coat.

i bought a dress and a jacket thing for revisit day.
i figure its better to be overdressed than underdressed :)

Let's stay focused, people. The original post was a question, "clothes for revisits?" The correct answer is yes, preferably.

boys - collared shirt, khakis are pretty general. I was actually asked if i wanted to take off my tie at a school.
