Clothing?

So people wear business suits to class or what?

I mean not business suits, but business casual for sure. I wear dresses pretty regularly when the weather allows (not really a fan of pants…), and it’s not uncommon to see guys in the polo/khakis/Sperry’s outfit on the reg.

Anyone into v-necks in your colleges (V-Necks with hoodies). Or should I keep that for high school. I bought some flannels though. Can’t wait until I ditch all these name brands for good!

^ The name brands are fine just as long as said name brand (or a logo) is prominently displayed

Personally, I plan on wearing sweats 99% of the time next year… :)

I always mean to get dressed every day, but for some reason once winter sets in I almost never wear anything but sweatpants to class. Oh well. I am getting a cute coat and boots for Christmas so maybe that will encourage me to put some goddamn clothes on.

Maybe to you college is preparation for a job and maybe one can’t wear t-shirts and shorts to work in your ideal white-collar job. Not for me though. Not for thousands of other college graduates.

Anyways if I have time I tend to dress up. This doesn’t mean business casual for me, although it can, but just being dressed well. Whatever matches my attitude. If I want to be bold I’ll wear bright colors, if I want to look like an athlete I’ll pull out my Adidas gear, if I want to look like a male model I’ll wear nicer clothing, if I want to look elite I’ll put on the sweater vest, if I want to feel like a country boy I’ll put on some worn sneakers, jeans, and flannel. Dressing up doesn’t really have much purpose for me, I just think it’s kinda fun. But if you want it to have a purpose then girls tend to notice guys that dress well.

OP just go through some catalogues and see what the young models (aka college or a bit older) are wearing. That’s your dress up clothes. Look at pictures of college campuses (make sure it’s within the past year) and those are potential normal styles. Once you get these basics down you can start diversifying. I was a fashion noob when I came to college but a month ago I was able to pull off the tie and t-shirt outfit.

“but for some reason once winter sets in I almost never wear anything but sweatpants to class”

So true. With winter gear, generally the less fashionable it looks the better it is at keeping you from freezing to death. I prefer not having hypothermia over looking “totally fab.”
