CMU Adcom FB Response to "Will I Be Rescinded"...

Hey Everyone,
I'm sure this question will surface here-- it does every year. And like many of the frequent posters to this thread said....If you get Bs, or even Cs you're probably cool--but if you get Ds, and F, possibly yes and most certainly you'll be asked to explain yourself.

Check the FB link to the CMU Admissions FB Page-- where someone forgot that some things are better asked privately. Honestly-- send CMU an email with such questions....

Someone wrote:
I've been accepted to Carnegie Mellon ED1. It was mentioned in the decision letter that I have to keep my senior year grades consistent with my previous grades. Right now I have all A's and B's, but a C in AP Physics. Would this be considered grounds for application rescission? What if the grade dropped to a D or an F?... (which most likely will not happen)

And CMU Admissions Rep replied:
Carnegie Mellon Office of Admission If your final transcript has Ds or Fs on it, it's possible that your offer of admission may be rescinded. Even if the offer isn't rescinded, you will be asked to explain the drop in your grades in a letter.
