I applied for a major in the H&SS and wanted to switch to economics. I understand that it is joint administered by Tepper, but is the economics taught there any different than the one taught at H&SS?

I asked a current econ major, and he said, “You talk to one person (Carol Goldberg) and get her to sign a form, and then you’re an econ major. The only thing being listed as an econ major does is help you get into required econ classes. There is no difference.”

So i won’t be involved with tepper as an econ major?

“So i won’t be involved with tepper as an econ major?”

He says that, “No you won’t (this is a good thing). If you really want to, you can take electives though.”

I know you don’t have to be accepted into Tepper, but the degree is granted jointly from H&SS and Tepper. It is the same degree no matter which school you are in when you take the classes.
