CMU has no set plan for sending out decisions.

I called Carnegie Mellon today and the lady said that decisions are sent out in random order. Which means that if you did not get your acceptance letter (or rejection) there is no need to worry.

Also, decisions will be posted on the "check application status" screen tomorrow regardless of when you receive your actual "paper" decision. Good Luck To Everyone!

Do not trust what the lady on the phone says. CMU does not accept 100% of applicants. I have called them about different issues (not this one in particular) and gotten different answers from different people.

By the way, what is the acceptance rate?

its confusing for cmu since ppl apply to multiple majors.

"By the way, what is the acceptance rate?"
With this year's rises I would guess it would be in the 30s-40s.

wait so all decisions are posted tonight at midnight???

it's midnight and nada. guess not.

just found out....waitlisted a ****ing gain.

why are mine still blank :</p>

waitlisted
meh..it happens

what are the odds of getting off the cmu waitlist.

Depends on each year. Last year I think 70+% (someone correct me) was taken off the waitlist out of the people that accepted a SPOT on the waitlist.

Just wondering.. how many applied this year?

Yeah I just got waitlisted as well. Tough year for college admissions...

over 18k

up 20%.

so yea...why arent my decisions up? is today truly the day where everyone's are up?
