<p>So, two big rumors have been passed around about CMU these past weeks</p>

<p>1) blank line
2) second wave</p>

<p>well, blank line obviously does not correlate to accept or reject, because i've seen several people with a blank line being rejected and accepted, and people without (me being one) being accepted (and rejected)</p>

<p>also, the second wave is not EXCLUSIVELY rejections and waitlists. I must agree though, there is a strong correlation though. looking at this year and last years decisions for the second wave, i'd say 95% are rejections and waitlists. I got in on the second wave though, so for future applicants, don't lose ALL hope just because you dont get anything in the first wave.</p>

<p>...Now about the first wave, I haven't seen any rejections from it, so perhaps that one really is exclusively acceptances and waitlists. Who knows though...</p>

<p>Anyway, I hope to see all of the other acceptees in the future, and good luck to all who were rejected wherever you may end up!</p>

<p>blank line at an early date was not a definitively good sign… but early blank liners certainly seemed to fare better</p>
