If someone had the list, I would be endebted

perhaps if someone else could call to find out definitively if the list was in fact final, I would be EXTREMELY appreciative!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, if anyone else called please let us know. I went to call back but was on hold and decided not to wait. The way I see it, is that if the list was incomplete, it would not have been posted even by mistake. Something tells me it was indeed the official list that was accidentally posted. I was able to check over 5 times before they took it down (sadly not to find my son's name) Either way, I have a teeny tiny bit of restored hope....(very very teeny tiny)

It would have been hard to have had a PDF since it's a search engine per state. I looked through some of the states... CA, NY, TX, IL, WI... While it was still up.

lol i dont think any one out there went "hmmm...I think I will immediatly begin copying and pasting all of this information to MSW so that, in the event the listing is taken down due to the fact that it may not suppose to be here in the first place, I will have all of the information so that I may post it for CC posters!" LOL!

AHH i can't believe that i missed the list!!! I have been checking the entire day, and now it isn't working. :( well, ill just have to wait then.

I called coke and the representative said that "we will find out within couple of days." When i asked her about tonight, she said "definitely not tonight." good luck to the rest of us who werent fortunate to see the list. I think that the finalists are really finalists, and that they probably hadnt finished uploading all of the finalists yet. so i guess well find out "within a couple days."

You say you think that it is possible they did not finish uploading before the list got accidentally posted?? I really, really hope so. but not sure I believe that is the case. Even though I got that impression from my phone call to CC. However, something tells me that they did in fact post the completed list and did not want to say so. I know anything can happen, but wonder how likely would a partial list get posted by mistake. Oh well....back to waiting and hoping!! Anyone else hear anything...(wow, I am really obsessing over this!)

I am hopeful.....
Let's hope for the best. I saw the list, but did not get a good look. They must have been taking it down when I was trying to look. You are not the only one obsessing over this! I wish they would get it over with, and post the names.

well FYI, and this may not mean anything at all, but when I checked the list, saddened when I did not see my name, I counted a total of 9 acceptees from the state of Pennsylvania. For the hell of it, I also looked at North Dakota, which had one acceptee. This is representative of population, and with that being the case, it is more likely that the list formerly posted was in fact the complete one.

Also, I forgot to mention that upon telling the woman over the phone that I had not been accepted and that I had seen a list, her voice inflection was that of sympathy after I had told her. So for those of you who saw the list and were denied, I am almost certain that was the final list. Good luck to everthone tho!

Oh well, I didnt see the list, but there was a sign in page up for the finalists. I tried to type my old password in there, but it didn't work. Does that mean I am out lol?

Well, I guess there goes my teeny tiny bit of hope. I looked at the "New York" section about 5 times before it went down. There were about 5-7 names (you'd think I'd have it memorized) So, I think we are both correct in that the list was very likely the complete and final list....(sniff..sniff....)

I saw the list too and unfortunately wasn't on there...kinda depressing losing out on 10000 lol but hey we all tried our best.

I think they just posted it on accident or something and took it down quickly so they could notify all the winners or something...who knows...

wish it had been me

I happened to count Texas, New York, and Illinois. If I recall correctly, Texas had 19, New York had around 23, and Illinois had 6. JaredW said Pennsylvania had 9.

Texas represents 7.81% of the U.S. population: 7.81%250 = 19.525 (average # of finalists)
Pennsylvania represents 4.06% of the U.S. population: 4.06%250 = 10.15 (slightly below average # of finalists)
Illinois represents 4.20% of the U.S. population = 10.5 (below average # of finalists)
New York represents 6.31% of the U.S. population: 6.31%*250= 15.775 (above average # of finalists)

This doesn't really tell us much -- it's just food for speculation.

My thought is that when Coca-Cola says that the list that was posted was the not the final list, this is just them covering up for the mistake. But there is the slim possibility that it was an incomplete list.

Im pretty sure New York did not have 23...I didn't count, but when I looked at it, it didn't look more than 10.

Maybe it was California instead of NY.... but I don't think I actually counted Cali other than just noting that there were a lot of names.

Hmmm...maybe they were still uploading names? Cause I was kind of surprised that I didn't see that many from NY. We will see soon.

If it was no more than 10, that would be no more than 2/3 representation compared to population, which would be suspect. Illinois' 6 also make it a little less than 2/3 representation compared to population.

Wow this sure is odd that the list got posted like this and then taken down! I have no idea one way or another whether it was complete or not but hopefully they dont take names off that were previously on but just that they would be adding more. So yea I guess the wait still continues.....lol

Why does this keep happening to me hahaha I think I'm bad luck.... I applied ED to Penn and the same thing happened to them. I missed the link then also.... o well
