I emailed them and they responded that they are having technical issues and to just download the forms from the email they sent.

Hi! I am a semi-finalist from Wisconsin and I have been filling out my questionnaire for Coca-Cola, but I can’t remember what I focused on in my first application. I am wondering if there is a way to access my original application. Does anyone know if that is possible?

Has anyone been able to fill out the online Emory question yet? I keep clicking “Submit”, but nothing happens

Problem: i go to type my responses and the background is grey. Happening to anyone else ?

Just finished the semi-finalist stuff today. I just need one more recommendation back. Hope everyone is not having any trouble finishing stuff! Did anyone ever find out if they compare our initial application to this one? I don’t remember the exact hours I put on the initial one.

do they even consider the original application anymore?

I’m not sure. A couple of people had asked that question before and it was never answered. My guess was no.

Oops I forgot to do the finalist application. My guess is a lot of other people didn’t bother doing it either, since it’s so comprehensive. Therefore, I bet the overall acceptance rate is probably 200/~1400.

@ice

It’s not due yet.

where it says to list any dual programs or summer courses- if you don’t have anything would you just put “N/A” for every spot or should you just leave it blank? And also under special skills and talents- can you list skills such as writing and piano even though you didn’t really receive any recognition/honors for it? I can’t seem to fill up every spot under the skills- again, would i leave it blank or put “N/A”? Thanks!

anybody???

Just leave them blank…no need to put N/A for everything.

anyone else’s printed out come out horribly? The signature portion doesn’t even print for me…

I am confused by the section on volunteer and community service activities. It says in A. to list only service activities undertaken in 2010. In B, we are supposed to list activities undertaken prior to 2010 and not to list activities from 2010. Most if not all my activities started before 2010 but continued through 2010. I don’t know if they are supposed to go in section A or B. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Sunshine90 I had the same problem! I listed them anyways but for the dates i made it end at 12/2009…I was confused too

Was anybody able to submit the Emory part of the application online? It doesn’t seem to submit for me.

Do you guys have scheduled dates for honor award ceremony?

And oh, to fix the gray background thing, go to tools => options => print tab => unclick “Background Print”

No I just guessed and put June 2011. It’s normally then anyways.

Does anyone know how hard it is REALLY to win this scholarship? I’ve looked at past threads and it seems like people just really exaggerate on how hard it is to win. Because some of them have said you need over 2,000 hours of community service. I looked at some of the old scholar profiles on the website and some people have like less than 500 hours volunteered from 9-11 grade?

Argh, are you guys feeling frustrated with the grey box cutoffs? I can barely put any awards on the titles! Are you allowed to attach any extra sheets and stuff to the application? I’m sad that there is no place for awards list like there was in the original application :(

What if your school probably isnt going to give you a awards ceremony? =[

@ShinyHelloKitty SO FRUSTRATING. I’ve had to abbreviate everything. Haha
