Col. of Natural Resources?

IF anyone has tips or info we'd appreciate it...d is considering applying to this school as a freshman...and we only have a few more hours to get the app in! I posted d's interests/brief stats here yesterday. Thanks!

Thanks, I revisited the website for CNR and noticed the student blog. Looks like a great source of info. D pushed the submit button last night and is applying to CNR/undeclared....
still looking for more info on transferring out of CNR into L&S if it proves to be too narrow of a focus down the road, though (well, assuming she gets in!)

I don't think transferring out of CNR is too difficult. From what I've heard, the only hard transfer involves the College of Engineering.

You forgot College of Chemistry.

Transfer into the College of Chemistry during your first semester is 100% guaranteed. As for transferring out of CoC, I have no idea, unless you would like to shed some light on the topic, Strykur.

Im in CNR... and I don't think it's too bad if you are really really really sure that you are interested in the environment and sciences and you know you want to do something with it.
At first I sorta regretted applying to CNR because it is definitely really narrow and there are not many majors to choose from, but its really not too bad. I'm considering Environmental sciences as my major and probably minor in Nutri Sci:) gluck and I'd be happy to anwer more questions if you have anymore (well keep in mind though Im only a freshman), although I'm guessing you already turned your apps in by now.

my d has already applied to CNR because she's pretty sure right now about it, but what if she later wants to change to LandS? I'm worried it may be too narrow for her. Is it hard to switch out of CNR? I've seen different opinions on this and wondered what your experience has been.
