Ok so I'm currently working on the supplemental essay for Colgate and I wanted a second opinion on what this means. The essay prompt is:

We honor the many different forms of diversity in our community. Your perspective is valuable because it comes from your life experiences, family background, and culture. Please tell us about yourself and what you believe is the best way to share your perspective. Also, what do you hope to learn from the experiences of others?

The part that says "What you believe is the best way to share your perspective" confuses me because I'm not quite sure what they're asking.

There is already a question about this posted below.

I’m aware of that…I figured that I should probably put it in the Colgate section

Colgate, colgate, colgate <3 <3 <3 <3

“Share your perspective” means to talk about your perspective on the question. What do you know about it, your feelings, your experiences (not getting toooo personal, of course). Really, this is all just a chance to (a) see how you write and think and (2) who you are a little more personally. I wouldn’t worry too much about it, but just write about your perspective on diversity from your life, background, friends . . . anything. You don’t go to a school where everyone is just like you, and you don’t want to go to a college like that. Right?
