College Advice/Selection (any help is welcome!)

Hey there,

I'm a teenage girl who lives in Europe and needs some serious college advice! Although I'm perfectly fluent in English and have attended an American school before, I'm currently a sophomore in high-school in a different, non-english speaking, system. I'm an ambitious student and I tend to get really good grades, so I'm pretty confident when it comes to get the equivalents necessary to attend college in an English speaking country (UK/US, preferably US).

Even though I don't have a full vision of what I want to do as a career, I'm leaning towards the Medicine Field, particularly Nursing. I've done lots of research about the programs/degrees to take/etc. but I'm struggling a lot when it comes to finding a college that suits my needs.

I'm looking for good Nursing BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) programs, and since I'm an international student (and I don't have a seven digit bank account ;) ) somewhere that has scholarships or low tuition fees (I know that last one wont be easy).

Any advice/information is useful at this point, so if anything comes to mind (even if it doesn't tick some of my 'requests') it is VERY welcome! >:D<

Are you a US citizen or an international?

@"Erin’s Dad"‌ I think she said she was an international student

International :)

I read “teenage girl in Europe” but it wasn’t clear to me if she was an expat.

@shawnspencer Thanks for the threads, but aren’t those scholarships only for US citizens? PS.: I haven’t read all of it yet.

Also another question: I’m really clueless when it comes to the ‘normal tuition costs’, if anyone could enlighten me on that matter?

@Erin’s Dad Thanks, didn’t know there was a sub-category for International Students, I’m new here.

Find the nursing schools that will give internationals money. It won’t be a long list.

But a question: will a nursing education in the US prepare you to serve as a nurse in your home country? will the licensing board at home accept your US training?
