<p>So a friend received a C- in a summer JAVA course (though he feels the teacher incorrectly inputted the grades). His dad is getting mad because he was supposed to report this course in "extra activities" on his college app. But, he was wondering if you report this summer class, do you need to let the colleges know of the grade you received as well?</p>
<p>For example, if he put this JAVA course on extra activities, does he need to report the C- as well?</p>

<p>He doesn’t have to put the grade it on the app, but he’ll have to send a transcript with the class (and grade) on it.</p>
<p>College coursework does not go under EC Activities, there is a place under Education for listing classes taken at Colleges & Universities.</p>
<p>Is this Java course a college course or just a class to learn Java? If it is not a college course and it isn’t part of his school record, he can put it down as an EC and he doesn’t need to report the grade.</p>
<p>^Right, I didn’t read carefully enough, my post is assuming it’s a college course.</p>
<p>As is mine… It probably wouldn’t have graded assignments unless it was a college or high school course, though… Both of which would require a transcript to be sent.</p>
