Hey everyone, i just have some questions about which schools i should apply to. So basically i want a school with a good biology/chemistry program, some prestige and a good name, but i want to go there cheap or free. Its a tall order i know. Im a junior, I have a 3.5 gpa, 1360/1950 sat scores(first try, but i have a solid study plan and made some simple mistakes on the first test, so lets just use the numbers 1400/2050), am on student council and nhs, and will have atleast 100 volunteer hours at a hospital by the time i apply. Im also in 2 ap classes now and 2 next year. Also i got a 202 on my psats, so i may qualify for the nmsqt scholarship. Also, my dad who has custody on the fafsa is on welfare/disability, so i can expect alot of grant money. I live in PA, but location isnt a problem for me. So basically could you tell me what are the highest level reach schools i could be accepted at (ivy, semi ivy) even if i couldnt afford them, and what are some solid schools i could go to for cheap. I know Alabama gives full tuition with a 1400 sat score, what other schools are comparable to that and is that a good choice for me? Thanks

Your GPA is on the low side to get any merit aid. Since you are from PA apply to
Pennsylvania State University
University of Pittsburgh
Temple University
Iowa State University
SUNY-Buffalo, Binghamton, Stony Brook
Ohio State University
Definitely University of Alabama
Louisiana State University
Syracuse University
Rutgers

Thanks and i know my gpa is low, its because of my freshman year. Anyone else? M2ck?

No more help? :/
