I will be a freshman in the fall. Which dorms do you think are the best for someone who is serious about studying and wants a quiet room on college avenue.

I hear college ave is the rowdiest of them, but that’s I guess an over-generalization.

As for specific dorms there, I’d actually like to know too.

If you are an incoming freshman, you aren’t able to choose specific dorms unless they are special interest or honors.

You have the libraries nearby, but I guess I would suggest one of the College Avenue quad dorms (Wessels, Pell, Leupp, Hegeman). They are pretty much small, housing with around 50 people.

Demarest is close knit and has a crazy variety of people. great location and court yard for hanging out.

Demarest does have some awesome people. I only know like 4 people who live there. I regret not applying for special interest housing there. I would have for music appreciation or creative writing.

Although I don’t think the OP would like it so much if he wants a quiet room. But I find that when you are in small-knit community and know everyone, people will respect you more if you tell them that you are studying.

Dorms are generally quiet. It is usually rowdy late at night, especially on Thursdays when people are drinking.
