Wisc game was amazing tonight! Tons of fun and who wouldn’t like beating the dukies? Court storm was a nice addition :)

I completely agree with you. MSU tends to have some mediocrity in that they’ll lose games that they should clearly win, but come tourney time they always perform.

I would be disappointed in the ACC if I were you. The ACC had a very poor performance. Apart from the Indiana v. Maryland game, all the games were close. The fact that Clemson, Duke, and Florida State lost pretty much shows how weak the conference is right now. The only team that’s top-10 caliber in the ACC right now is UNC, and Duke.

I’m bummed about the ACC losing the challenge for the first time in history, but I’ll take a Duke loss over an ACC win any day. The bottom line is UNC won, Duke lost. Not too much to be mad at in my opinion.

It’s pretty much fair. The ACC’s top two teams are Duke and UNC as usual. For the Big Ten it’s Purdue and Mich. State. Both conferences had one of their two teams lose. Shouldn’t really be too bummed that the ACC lost the tourney this year though.

We’ll see whether or not Carolina’s win was a fluke when they play Kentucky today.

Pac-10 is terrible this year. I’ve never seen a major conference being this bad. How many Pac-10 teams will be invited? 2?

If UNC had won on a buzzer beater or something similar, I could see you calling the win a “fluke.” UNC dominated the whole game against MSU, though, and withstood a late rally. I think it is obvious that the better team won there.

ahaha I just found this really funny :P

Go TAR HEELS!

for some reason i’m apathetic about college football, but I tune in for basketball and I love UNC…or maybe it’s just because I dislike Dook in general :]

UNC and Duke aren’t very good this year.

while UNC isn’t the team it was last year,
- it still beat michigan state, one of the best teams out there
- it barely lost to Kentucky (only by 2 points)
- the season is still young. LOTS can happen!!

Michigan State isn’t good either. Only reason why they’re ranked so high is because they went to the championship game. The best thing about their team is Izzo.

SDSU beats UCSB in the STD Awareness Rivalry

Mich. St. is good since they have a good all around team in terms of their offense. Their starting five average over 10 pts. a game which even UNC doesn’t have. They have two stud shooters, Kalin Lucas and Raymar Morgan. Another reason why they are ranked high is because of their history, most of the best programs have that consistency which is the same for UNC & Duke. Their appearance in the Championship game was another reason I must admit but they are still a great team. Izzo is also without a doubt another main reason for their great performance.

You’ve got to be kidding me. Of course you’re going to be ranked high if you come back from the championship with almost all your players. Michigan State is one of the top programs in the country. Izzo’s arguably the best coach in the country, since he’s able to get a solid squad without always getting the best recruits. Also, MSU last year was very very young. 3 of our starting players, and almost all our bench players were underclassmen. Now MSU has gotten even better, with almost all of their players returning. MSU might not always win in the clutch, but they’re still a solid team and deserve to be ranked high.

MSU is basically the new Purdue team. Purdue two years ago had FOUR starting freshmen, now they became juniors. The only biggest difference is they didn’t go to the Championship Game in March… :-/ So it shows they are a talented and young team for sure.

I’d say we’re doing pretty good so far. Of course the big east games haven’t started yet though. I’d say we’re better than last year though. Yeah losing Flynn hurts, but I think losing Devendorf and Harris helps us. Devendorf pretty much didn’t know defense was even a part of the game, and Harris…ugh…I think they had to make up a new stat just for him called “boneheaded plays”. I’m sure he led the league.

MSU’s record and stats are almost exactly the same as last year…and last year we made the national championship game. MSU tends to have a slow start, but definitely picks it up by the time March Madness comes around. Izzo is amazing!!! And I am really excited for MSU to play Texas (as well as other big 10 teams)

I’m excited to see Texas’ next 2 games! UNC and MSU. I can’t wait to see Lucas, they already have the best depth in the country and this gives them even more firepower.

Ridiculous Depth:
James, Pittman, Bradley, Hamilton, Brown, Balbay, Johnson & now Lucas.

That’s 4 definite NBA players (James, Pittman, Bradley, Hamilton). Lucas and Brown will probably play in the NBA too.

^For a second I thought you were talking about Kalin Lucas. MSU has just as much depth, except we aren’t as deep on the inside. I’m definitely excited to see Texas play against some top teams.

Lucas should be huge for Texas, he’s another 10+ point scorer PG. Not as good as MSU’s Lucas though. The main concern for Texas is that 3 of their top players are freshmen. And that the schedule’s been really easy so far. I can’t wait to see them play good teams.
