My mom called me yesterday saying I got a letter from CB stating that the score on one of my exams (AP Euro) had been mistakenly inputed as much lower than it truly was (3 vs. 5) No particular error was specified, but it was good news to get as it was a puzzlingly low score in one of my top subjects. (CB says they are sending an updated score report to my HS and university).

Well that's because their trying to perform functions which they are not meant to perform. Their REAL goal: to rob population of every possible penny and to become richer. Their Attempted Goal: to grade the exams fairly.

They really screwed up, and I will definitely sue them for losing free response parts of my 7 exams, which I self-studied for (multiple choice parts are 5s). I need those credits.

wow! congrats (uhm... not really sure if this will come out right, but i think you'll get the idea with this parenthetical comment)! awesome that they're changing your euro score! hopefully others will be as lucky. does anyone know if this has happened in the past?

This probably happens a LOT, in fact there is a chance it happened to you, and you just dont and never will know it. Just think about it, what if collegeboard has something like .5-1% mess-up rate, then there are probably tens of thousands of people walking around with the wrong scores.
