<p>I'm just trying to get a general perspective on where people stand at this stage. I have managed to whittle my list down to about 16, but I hope to knock out a couple more. </p>
<p>Also, to what kinds of schools are you going to apply? Like, HYPSM, New Ivy's, top State schools, etc.</p>
<p>I'm going for HYPSM and New Ivy's, with one or two safeties.</p>

<p>If I get into MIT or UChicago EA, I'll apply to 8 total. If I don't, then 14. All in all, I'll probably end up filling out applications for all 14 of the schools but not sending them unless I need to, so that if I end up not getting into Chicago or MIT then I won't have to rush on those other apps.</p>
