College Decision: UCLA vs. NYU Stern

These are the two colleges I've cut it down to in the end. Other colleges I got into included UCSD, UCD, UCI, UCSB, Babson, UMich, USC.

At UCLA, I'll start in Pre-Econ and try to get into Business Econ when I can. At NYU, I'll be studying finance. Right now, I plan to study finance in the future.

The one thing holding me back from NYU is the cost which is over 60k for me, I did not get any financial aid from them. My parents told me they would pay for UCLA but I would have to take out about 30k in loans if I wanted to attend NYU.

So here's some of the reasoning in each one
UCLA: Cheaper, Closer to friends, Love the campus (visited already),
NYU: Better resources compared to possible budget cuts, internship opportunities

I've asked the question before and lots of people told me that I should not be taking out that amount of loans just for an undergrad education, but I was hoping to get more opinions on this. So which college do you think I should attend?

Will add that I am leaning toward UCLA right now, primarily because of cost. Just wondering, it is possible to receive scholarships during your second year right?

I would go with UCLA
I have not been impressed with the NYU students I have seen, rich and disinterested in studying on the whole. How do I know? I use to live next to NYU.
Plus NYU has no campus just a bunch of randomly placed tall buildings
Note - NYU is famous for its graduate finance programs not its undergrad program

$30,000 in loans times 4 years is $120,000. You’re talking about monthly payments of close to $1,500 for the next 10 years. Plus, you’re not even allowed to borrow that much - you have to get your parents to agree to co-sign those loans, and if you fail to pay them, they’ll be on the hook.

Ask yourself if going to NYU is worth a third (or more) of your after-tax income for the next decade.

Are you going to keep asking until someone says NYU is worth it? It’s NOT>>>>>>>>>>>>>
