HELP: UCLA Biz Econ vs NYU Stern

So, given I'll get rejected from the Ivies I applied to (Cornell, Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard), I'm left with two choices.

UCLA L&S Business Economics: With Cal Grant and everything, I only get to pay 9K a year, plus I'm eligible for work-study as well so it's a real bargain for me. I'm planning to apply for the Honors Program which will provide me with priority enrollment.

NYU Stern School of Business (Economics major): I know Stern is a great school... with all Wall Street connections and whatnot, but their financial aid package doesn't seem very attractive to me. They expect me to loan 26K a year to pay for fees (yes, I'm living on campus).

Personally I want to go to UCLA. The question is, is a NYU Stern diploma really worth 26K a year + high living expenses at New York City... over UCLA for which I pay the same amount over 2~3 years?

I'm planning to pursue a graduate/professional degree after working for a few years.

Save the money for graduate school, and opt for UCLA. You can always attend NYU for grad school.

If I understand correctly, attending NYU over UCLA would add $100,000 of debt over four years. If that is the case, then I would say UCLA is a no-brainer.

UCLA for sure. If you work hard and get yourself into the right internships, the world will be just as open from UCLA as from Stern. The money difference is too great (and as a side note I think UCLA would also be much more fun)

$100k in debt will hang over you for years.

UCLA BizEcon is an easy call here.

Oh, and UCLA did away with Honors priority class registration this year, ff I recall correctly.

Thanks for all the help :)
