<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I am a Junior in high school and I am starting to think seriously about what I should write my college essay on. I have heard that writing an essay on your sport is not really looked fondly upon; I have also heard that you need to convey your passion. I have thought of some topics (my passion of running, risk taking, etc.) What are some opinions? I haven't had too much guidance on this aspect of the application process so some general, solid suggestions for college essay writing would be GREATLY appreciated!</p>

<p>If you’re a rising junior or you’ve already started the 2013-2014 school year as a junior, you’re starting really early. But if you will be/are a senior, I think the topics you suggested are good as long as you can get specific with them. If you can tell a story or two about risk-taking, then do it. If you have any other hobbies/extracurriculars that you’re really passionate about, those can also be considered.</p>
