College Football Stadiums

Nebraska is up there in the top 10.

As a serious college football fan the general consensus of schools listed so far:

A&M - extremely unique environment, though not as crazy b/c they're doing all their dumb cheers. Still, having everyone standing and kissing after scores are pretty cool traditions.

Michigan and Notre Dame - not that loud, someone already mentioned "too champagne"

Wisconsin - decent, but lack the history that many other programs have.

LSU - Definitely top 5 - the fact that they're always night games is a huge advantage

Florida - another top 5

Oklahoma - I've been to OU, it's not as crazy as they think.

Alabama, Penn State, Tennessee, Ohio State and Virginia Tech all are in the top 10...

i'm surprised no one's mentioned the coliseum yet... usc.

"yeah a drunk fat pasty white guy with a brat and a beer- thats a wisconsin fan"

you say it like it's a bad thing ;)

i dont think the crowd at the coliseum is that loud, take out the marching band and you'll probably re-assess. i havent been to autzen (oregon) but that's probably the pac10's best candidate.

Yeah, Oregon is the only stadium on the west coast that deserves a mention, though Husky Stadium (U-Dub) probably used to rock back in the day - early 90's when Steve Emtman was playing...

USC's crowd it way too bandwagon to deserve a mention on this list...
Think about it this way - Nebraska has sold out every single game (now 282 consecutive games) since JFK was president. People in the SEC show up for games starting on WEDNESDAY. It's just a whole different level of dedication. USC has a couple losing seasons (or the NFL comes back) and it'll be just like it was in the mid-90's.

LSU is definitely the loudest I've been to, but I wasn't on the field for that game. Auburn was loud as hell, too but I sucked too much to play in that game, too.

UTEP's Sun Bowl is probably the most impressive field I've been on. Easily the best looking stadium I've ever seen. Built right into the side of a mountain.

Death Valley in Clemson looks pretty tough to play in.

Lane Stadium on a Thursday night.

NEYLAND STADIUM BABY!

The atmosphere and tradition at Tennessee cannot be beat.

Gotta agree that UT was one of the the loudest stadiums I've been to. It was louder than Ohio State's stadium.

Neyland is loud, but the fans aren't intimidating.

Got to be Madison. They were even excited at the Temple game two years ago. Can you imagine that?

If you want fat first look in Texas.
