Is anyone familiar with what it's like to be in Berkeley's College of Environmental Design?

How hard is it to find a job upon graduation from this college for an architecture major? For city planning?

Would it help to have a minor in structural engineering or something?

For jobs, it depends a lot on your personality. Are you outgoing, enthusiatic? Do you have excellent communication skills? Excellent writing skills? Those are the things that are most important during an interview to score the job.

yeah and if you want to get into arch, u have to get ur masters because berkeley only offers a 4-year bachelor of arts with a major in architecture. This is only a pre-professional degree so you need the masters in order to get ur license. If you go to a 5-year program like USC or something, then you can get a bachelor of architecture and get ur license right out of undergrad.

I'm not too sure about city planning though. i don't know whether u need a masters or not.

Oh, another thing about berkeley's arch program, since it's a bachelor of arts, it's pretty design focused and less structural and stuff. It would probably be a good idea to take some classes in structural engineering or civil engineering. It'd probably help round out ur knowledge.
