college prefrosh weekends?

do these count in your school's absences? i only get 9 absences per semester and if i go to a few college prefrosh weekends, my absences would pile up quite easily =/

Ummm.... who would care? Or why should you care what your HS thinks at that point? YER OUTTA THERE!

Nobody here knows your school's absence policies. Check your student handbook or ask a principal.

I can tell you that my school district does count college visits into total absences.

MY Ds schools counts college visits as excused, same as illness.

we had this issue last year; ....upon a personal conversation with the principal, we were told to get documentation from the visits from accepted student day and submit a copy to the school....never became an issue for my D since she was one day short of a problem, but others in her class had to resort to this documentation in order to graduate...

We get seven at my school and a college visit would count towards them.
To T26E4:
At my school if you have less than 7 absences and have a C in the class then you are exempt from final exams.
I mean, I'm not sure how it is at the OP's school, but there are definite benefits to having very few absences second semester at my school. :)

Consider yourself lucky with "only" 9 excused college visits - I get 3!

Anyways, even if you exceed the limit, just go to the college thing. It's pretty important, and it's senior year, so whatever =)

Our school has 9, but if you go over that number you cannot do senior program which is pretty much an internship or something outside of school following AP exams for most, the whole 4th quarter for those not taking those exams. And if the alternative is sitting in class as pretty much the only senior, that would mot be fun.

hmm...the thing is i can't just go over 9 and have nothing happen, then iwould fail every class i got over 9 absences w/, which wouldn't sit too well with those colleges =(

i'll just go talk to the administration. not that i have much to worry about right now considering i have yet to get INTO too many colleges.

At my school college visits are excused absences.
