Ok, so I just got an email saying I got the conference to Stanford, and nominations to a mentoring program with Ahmrest college and to an all expense paid visit to their 'partner colleges' How many people who apply actually get these?? and how likely am I to actually get accepted then?

you are EXTREMELY LUCKY. I thought with my geographic positioning and my strong Extra Curriculars, and well-thought out essay, that i would at least have a chance at one of the scholarships… BUT NO.

Im from Hawaii, and ranked 5 out of 438 students in my class
I wrestle, do judo, a Student Government Officer, HOSA (health club) officer, PAAC club (asian affairs club) officer, in National Honor Society, volunteer at my local Hospital. and have maintained my GPA and have taken (and will continue to take) as Many A.P. classes as i can… and STILL no Luck.

I commend you on you accomplishment, i guess I’m not as good of a student as i thought i was. I really hope you get accepted into Amherst, and i HOPE and PRAY that i will (like you) have a chance at ONE of the ivy or ivy caliber schools.

Hey by the way, do you mind posting your stats on this thread? Just to see why i got denied and how much HARDER i have to work. I would appreciate it so much.

CONGRATULATIONS!
