<p>With the Common App college reccomendation, which works like a PDF file, there's a section for me to sign and the remaining fields are for the teacher. What if my teacher is currently not available in person. How would I do this? Could I first print it out for me to sign and then scan it and send it to my teacher electronically so she can sign it? Will that work? </p>

<p>And can college recs be faxed/scanned and sent in?</p>

<p>The Common app has electronic signatures. You fill out your part of the app online, the teacher fills their parts online, and you submit it without a physical signature. You can print it out and snail mail it to colleges, but it’s very tedious process and the online one is faster.</p>
