College Scholars?

Does anyone know if those who applied to the College Scholars program find out if they're admitted in February or do they just tell you you were/weren't a finalist for the program?

ok... does anyone know ANYTHING about the college scholars program? anything would be appreciated....

I have no idea. I applied RD, and someone just called me today and said the admissions committee would like me to get the College Scholars essay in by the end of this week to consider me for the program.

<a href="http://collegescholars.wm.edu/index.html%5B/url%5D">http://collegescholars.wm.edu/index.html</a></p>

here's the website... seems it hasn't been updated in quite awhile though (the profiles of the scholars are from high school class of 2004). There's only a handful of college scholars, quite an honor to be one.

I didn't even know this program existed :( I would've asked me school to nominate me.

but when do they find out about their decisions!?!

I actually just got a call saying that I was one of the 16 finalists for the program, so you should be hearing from them anytime now (if you get an interview, you go down to WM in late March and are notified whether you got it or not soon thereafter). I wish you all the best of luck.

Does anyone know if all the finalists for the Scholars program has been notified?

I don't know, but if there were only 16 of them, and someone (above post) already found out on the 13th, I bet everyone has been notified. How long can it take to make 16 calls?
I didn't know it was so selective... man I thought I had a chance after I received the post card about my essay... oh well.

It was my understanding you had to be nominated by your high school back in December. Only certain out of state schools qualify for a nominee, and all in-state schools get to nominate one, two, or three students based on the size of their graduating class.
