College transfer question

Hey guys I have a few questions I wanted to ask you guys regarding transfer. So basically, I am an international student who came into the US last year may. But due to the transfer credits coming, I would be a junior by spring next year…Currently my GPA is 3.24. So to my questions.
a) Is it too late find good schools to apply to for fall this year or should I focus on transferring next year spring. I know you might be wondering why i am applying so late. But the issue is I have been really ill these past months which have made me not really able to make progress with my transfer application.

b) As a foreign student, do I have a good chance of getting scholarships or maybe instate scholarships based on my current GPA. Can I still be able to find good scholarships for fall or I would have to apply for spring to get good scholarships. Plus scholarships would you advice me to look at applying for as an international student.

C) are there specific things that might improve my chances of transferring to a good school, and getting scholarships. I would really love tips from you guys. I would really appreciate it.

d) Just out of curiousity, is it generally harder to apply for admision/scholarships in spring than in fall.

Thanks for your anticipated response guys.

It is very hard for international students to get good financial aid.

It is very hard for transfer students to get good financial aid.

So the likelihood of you being able to get good aid is very nearly zero. You need to know that right now.

What is wrong with your current college/university? Why do you want to transfer?

To add to happymom’s comments, as a foreign student, you will not be considered instate.

Most universities begin admissions in the fall.

You will have zero chance of scholarships as a transfer and international.

Some private universities do offer some scholarships to international and transfer students but you have to do a little digging to find them. Public universities will likely not offer much and for international students, in-state or out-of-state is irrelevant as you cannot be a resident of a state.

As for appying so late, you have to see which universities still have openings and have rolling admissions. What major are you interested in and where are you transferrring from? If it is a Community College then you will not be able to stay past your Sophomore year and expect to transfer all your credits to a 4-year school.
