I am a current junior at a very good high school in the mid atlantic. I am looking for a school that is near the ocean on the east coast. I LOVE the college of Charleston but I would like to find a school that has less then 10,000 students. Money is not a problem so I dont care if it is private or public. I have a 3.35 unweighted and a 3.9 weighted gpa. I have taken six AP classes and I will be taking two classes from the university of maryland next year. I am captain of my soccer team, I am also on the dive team, and I run track. I am president and founder of a club at my school. I am also president of two other clubs and I participate in key club. My SAT score is 1700 but I am hoping to raise it. Any schools that you know of by the beach that fit those requirements? Also what do you think my chances are at CofC?

UNC-Wilmington is next door to Wrightsville Beach, NC

Not sure of attendance numbers, but Charleston Southern and Coastal Carolina are also nearby.

Also, Eckerd and Flagler both in FL. Endicott in MA. Roger Williams University (RI).

Evergreen State College also has its own beach.

Washington is not that close to the east coast, confidential2015.

Endicott College in Beverly, MA has 3 beaches, and is a small school.

Coastal Carolina is a campus of about 8,500 students. The campus is literally 15 minutes from the beach. Your stats should easily get you in at CCU and depending on your SAT some merit money and admission to the Honors program. Whether or not it would be a good fit for you academically I can’t say - depends on what you are looking for and probably your intended major. My D is a freshman Musical Theatre major there and couldn’t be happier. Feel free to PM me if you have questions.

Dorian_Mode, I know! Thanks for correcting me. My bad, I failed to read everything the OP had posted. :)

Florida Atlantic near Boca is about 1 mile to the beach

UCSB (you see sunny beach?) is well known, but on the opposite coast.

University of Hawaii at Manoa is only a mile or so from a beach in Hawaii.

I second Eckerd College. Perfect for your stats.
