Colleges care less about SAT writing?

<p>Recently some people have told me that a lot of colleges care less about SAT writing. They said colleges value CR and M more than W. Is this true?
If so, would it be less likely to be accepted to a college if someone has a 700 in CR and 800 in W than 800 in CR and 700 in W?</p>

<p>Different colleges look at the SAT different.
Some schools place more of an emphasis on CR+M, others will look at it holistically, and some will look at CR+M, but also take W into consideration.</p>
