Colleges-chem

if i plan to become a pharmacist...i should major in chem right? so which college should i list in my app?

uuuuuuh...I've had this discussion with a lot of people: ONLY MAJOR IN CHEM IF THAT'S WHAT INTERESTS YOU AND YOU ARE GOOD AT IT.

You can virtually major in anything and still become a pharmacist, you'd just need to take all the required classes. Therefore, it would be easier to major in a science because those classes required for pharm school are likely to be required for your major.

If you're going to go to a grad school, GPA is very important. I've heard about a lot of people who want to be a pharmacist, entered as a chem major, and then switched to a biology major, because it is much easier. Easy Majors = Better Grades.

But college is all for self-discovery. Major in what you're most interested now, and see where that takes you.

And for the colleges, I'm sure you've read the other threads. I'm pretty sure everyone's ranking for the colleges remain the same, regardless of your major. Something to the extent of: Muir, Warren, Marshall, Sixth, ERC, Revelle.

Woooo long post!!!

Go into any somewhat-relevant field that you actually like and/or are knowledgable in. I am anything but a natural science nerd, so I stick to social science and mathematics because I won't get tired of either anytime soon and the classes are pretty easy for me, so maintaining a competitive GPA isn't too difficult.

so.....in what order shouldi list the colleges?

Ranking the college does not matter. You can major in science and be in Roosevelt, or major in art and be in Revelle.
