Colleges For Music/Entertainment Business?

I have heard time and time again that a key to the music/entertainment industry is having a degree that is specific to this field.

Can anyone recommend some great music/entertainment industry colleges?

I am specifically interested in Tour Management, Artist Management and Promotions.

@ MissRomania

I would definitely consider the colleges in the major entertainment cities (Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City) for your fields of interest.

University of Miami has a solid program.

In addition to U of Miami, also check out: Berklee College of Music, Belmont University in Nashville, Drexel U, and Cal Poly Pomona (Music Industry Studies).

NYU has a music industry program I think. I have a friend going to Northeastern next year for their Music Industry program. Also Syracuse has two music industry programs I believe, one is performance-based and one is not. What I've heard of Berklee's program is good, but my understanding is that you can't declare a major aside from your principle instrument until your second semester?

University of Denver has a well-established music/business program. American U. has a new one.

I think American does also.

USC offers a degree, and a minor, in the music industry: USC Thornton School of Music : Academic Programs: Music Industry.

Okay, thanks so much!
