Which California State University colleges take International Credit Transfer students for Spring semesters in the BS. Computer Science?
Call them up and ask rather than hope on peoples’ guesses. Good luck
I have emailed them. Hoping for a positive reply. Can you help me how do they transfer international credits? I have completed two years here so will I be eligible for the junior year because nowhere I could find how the transfer system works.
Each place decides for itself which credits will transfer, and which won’t. There is no way to predict this. You have to ask each one separately.
Alright thank you. I just checked my transcripts, my university says each subject (course) is of 4 credits. I just hope the colleges take them as 4 only.
Different colleges have different methods of assigning credits to classes…the typical in the US is 3 credits for a 3 academic hours per week class. Some do 4. Some do 1. So if you have a MWF class that is 50 minutes long and you get 4 credits for it, but at your school of choice they give 3 credits, you will only get 3 credits.
Try to get the syllabus for each class you took so the colleges can use that to determine if and how much credit to give you. You definitely have to talk to the school for exact info.
@nishdesai - You may need to have your transcripts professionally evaluated. Ask the colleges and universities that you are applying to which companies they recommend. Evaluations by http://www.wes.org/ are accepted almost everywhere, so you may want to start with them.
