Colleges that disregard freshman grades?

Hey, I have terrible freshman scores and I was wondering..

Are there any prestigious, by meaning top 50 ranking colleges (according to US News & World Report) , that disregard high school freshman grades?

The entire UC system.
Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, etc.

Princeton does.

U of Michigan does not look at freshman grades or +s/-s.

I'm sorry what is +s/-s ?
Also, I've heard CMU does not look at freshman grades?
Does anybody know about CMU?

^ Michigan recalculates your GPA using only whole letter grades, so whether you got an A+, A, or A- it counts as an A (=4.0); while B+, B, and B- all count as a B (=3.0); etc. That, combined with the fact that they disregard your freshman grades in their calculation, means that your GPA could end up looking very different to them than it does to your HS, especially if you got all As and Bs sophomore and junior years.

So if Michigan calculates GPA like that, does that mean other schools calculate GPAs separately for A+ and A-?

Also, does anybody know about CMU?
