So I was looking at colleges the past few days, and I noticed that Cornell doesn't offer interviews other than for hotel and architecture school applicants... Is there a reason for this? Are there any other colleges that don't offer interviews?

Amherst College only offer interviews to legacy applicants.

It probably isn’t too cost-effective to do so. Most interviews don’t matter much anyway; most are decent without being overwhelmingly positive or negative

Most if not all public universities do not do interviews (other than for performing arts and music). Only a minority of privates do interviews and many of those make it optional.

They probably don’t offer interviews because level of applicant’s interest is not considered. http://dpb.cornell.edu/documents/1000530.pdf
