Some colleges definitely have better sounding names than others. I do not mean name recognition, just simply how the name sounds. For example i you were to say "I graduated from (insert college's name)".

Worst: Rice, Tufts
Best: Vanderbilt, Yale

This may be silly but i just thought i would share, any other opinions are welcomed.

i always thought Tufts and Yale sounded peculiar...
of course, Duke, Vanderbilt and Stanford are all kinda retarded, who names a university after themself? Actually, Stanford is double-retarded, as the actual name of the University is Leland Stanford Jr. University... leland knew it was dumb to name a university after himself, so he named it after his dead son, who, suprisingly, had the same last name.

so the best would go to Chicago, because rockafeller built it and wasnt troubled enough with his manhood to name it after himself.

Of course, my school, northwestern, is kind of a dumb name, since its not in the northwest anymore....

worst goes to Johns Hopkins... whats with all the esses? (i know whats with them, i dont need to hear the story, but come on!)
