MomLA2018, I can’t remember where I read, but it says that it is around 200 LL per year
To those who got a likely letter what does your finaid portal look like? I checked mine today and a bunch of stuff on there said received on march 2nd when I sent that like two months ago in January.
Nothing changed on the portal.
@Lemonade22 Columbia sent me an email with an early financial aid package. Nothing has changed on the portal though.
Same here: No changes on financial aid portal.
Did anybody with Likely Letter get a financial aid package?
@brazos21 I did
@uncreativename Where was it? In the financial aid portal or in your original email?
@brazos21 Neither. After my likely letter of admission and my letter for the Egleston Scholars Program, I received an email from the financial aid office asking if I would like to be matched with a personal financial officer to receive an early financial aid package and included a form to fill out. A couple days after I submitted the form, and after I received the Egleston Scholars designation, I got an email with the financial aid details (grants, etc.). Nothing has changed on any of the portals, and I suspect it won’t until the official decisions are released. This ended up being a lengthy answer, but hope this helps!
When will Columbia send out the next round of likelies? Early March or Mid-March?
I heard there are only 2 waves of likely, 150 each… I could be wrong.
D’s likely letter was dated March 2. I think there were also some in February.
@momla2018: so the second batch of likely letters when out on friday? I noticed only one got one expected more like 5 or 6 got them in the first batch in February
Sorry, I only know about my D. I am sure there were more, but I don’t know.
@kcasssuu i’m pretty sure they only did the two (one in february and the one a few days ago) because decisions are coming out march 28ish
For those who have received likely letters, did Columbia later follow up with an email offering an early financial aid estimate?
Received email last month: “Columbia Financial Aid Early Estimate Invitation”. However did not receive estimate followup .
I got the email to sign up for the early estimate of financial aid and filled out the form. Later, I got an email saying their office would follow up “within the next week,” but that was a week ago lol.
Can I get a likely letter if my financial aid application is incomplete?
Do you have to have had an interview to receive a likely letter? I wasn’t offered an interview at all? Is that bad?
