Has anyone been contacted about the NOP program? My friend was seeking insight.
I was contacted. I received an Skype student interview for that program in addition to my alumni interview a few weeks ago. I haven’t gotten a decision from Columbia yet, though. But after the student interview, I asked if all low-income students with good GPAs got this. She said she couldn’t say much, but it is much more competitive than that. Hopefully it’s good news!
I got a likely letter
Congratulations @Dankjewel
About the likely letters, is it by email or a letter by mail.
@Aimingivy Both Email and mail. (usually you get an email first)
For the people got likely letter, have you received the financial aid estimate?
Hi, on columbia’s financial aid portal I saw that my Fafsa was updated on March sixth. Does this mean that I am at least still in the running?
@Lemonade22 Yes
@Lemonade22 @Volunteerism where do you see if it was updated/what does that mean?
also does anyone know what “required for packaging” means on the financial aid portal?
Wait so if ours wasn’t last updated in March we aren’t still in the running?
@Lemonade22 when did you first file your fafsa?
@woohooig ma dude, financial aid office and admissions office work independently. Financial office probably doesn’t even know if ur getting admitted or not. It probably just means that they’re already done with your financial aid package.
@SW1807 “required for packaging” means they need the document to offer a financial aid package. this does not mean you are accepted. it just means you may be missing a document. you may want to call them and find out.
@MisPollitas00 thanks for the clarification, on my portal it says all documents have been received and there seems to be nothing missing from the IDOC for me but I’ll definitely call them find out
Is Columbia flying out all likely letter students?
@hizzlep yes
Really? They pay airfare? Any links on how it works?
@hizzlep @blmom1 My apologies I don’t know. My son is likely Egleston scholar and they pay the airfare, … for the visit.
Yes, they pay domestic airfare for the visit and offer to house you with a student.
