Is there someone who has received a likely letter and is an international who applied for financial aid?
@clueless96 yes, me
@alianar are you an athlete?
@clueless96 yes i am, are you?
Ah I see. No I’m not @alianar
Have any of you likely letter recipients been added to the Class of 2020 Facebook group? I requested to join a few days ago but they haven’t responded Also has anyone received a printed copy of their letter, or is it email only?
I received a physical letter today @karakoram
@karakoram I requested to join the facebook group a while back but they didn’t add me either. And yes, I received a paper copy of my LL around three days after the email
@karakoram
I received physical LL as well. I don’t like FB (or social media in general for that matter… I do have LinkedIn) so I can’t comment there.
I received a physical letter. Haven’t requested entrance to the FB group as I’m keeping this news on the DL to protect everyone’s sanity (including those of the 6 other kids from my school who applied).
Please keep us updated if anyone of you guys do get added!
@Anonymoose3 that’s actually so nice and considerate! I hope the best for you! People like you are rare
@karakoram I received a physical letter as well. I dont think that they’ll add us to the accepted students group cause technically we havent been accepted yet I think that they give you the link to the FB groups along with the email notifying you of your acceptance
Is it just me or does there seem to be a LOT of people who received LLs this year? There seems to be dozens in this thread alone and I am a bit worried what that means to the rest of our chances
I think it may just seem like a lot because generally people on CC are a more qualified pool of applicants @JungleJim4232
@MijoChbulkan: Thanks! I try to empathize with my classmates - we’re all going through stress and now isn’t the time for me to brag.
@JungleJim4232: I agree it seems more Columbia LL’s have gone out than other ivies for some reason. But I wouldn’t worry about it - all you can do is hang on until the 31st. 22 days left!
@graceann: I agree.
I think the reason it seems that Columbia has sent more LLs is because a lot of the other ivies like Princeton and Penn (only good examples I can think of rn) only sent them to certain groups of people i.e. Nursing students, athletes, etc.
it seems like up to now, there were two 2 waves for likely letters, right? One around 2/23 and one around the 1st week of March??
did anyone get an email for science students??? (science at columbia?)
What is the email on science at Columbia about? @GrapePocky ?
