@hershey2010 How do you send a request?
@allthingstesla I just replied to the email invitation
@hershey2010 Was it your LL email or did you get one specifically from the FA office?
@allthingstesla It was a separate email from financial aid
They asked for additional FA docs which I provided, but I haven’t heard from them in 1 1/2 weeks
Thats actually good news:-). THey are looking at your FA docs; meaning you must have admission - hope the logic is correct.
Well I’m not too worried since I have an LL But thanks!
This is definite proof that you are IN! They are sorting out your FA package. Congratulations!
Thank you!!! Did you get an LL too?
@thetsaria Thanks for the info! I got my LL this week so maybe that is why I haven’t received the email yet. I emailed the office this morning to ask them about it.
@allthingstesla Yeah, that’s probably why. They might just be waiting until official decisions since they come out in like 1 1/2 weeks anyways. I got my LL ~3 weeks ago and they told me about the FA estimate about a week after that.
just got rejected from jhu and can’t wait to be rejected from columbia too
Same
Hello New to this group. Can someone tell me what LL is?
@WaitingToKnow LL stands for likely letter. Some selective schools send them out to a small percentage of outstanding applicants before regular decisions are released. They are basically early admission letters.
Any of you guys admitted to JHU? Seriously debating it versus Columbia
@thetsaria Me too! I’m still waiting for Ivy Day to make any final decisions. What about you? Are you leaning towards one or the other?
@allthingstesla I honestly don’t know. NYC and “Ivy League” seems really cool (I got an LL), but I also love Baltimore so much! A close friend of my mom’s went there for med school and I think she’s trying to make me go because she keeps telling me how awesome the university is I’ll definitely have to wait until after I visit them both to make a final decision.
What about you? Leaning towards either?
@thetsaria Right now, I’m slightly leaning towards Columbia, but I still have a lot more schools to hear back from, so I don’t want to decide anything prematurely. Lol, every time I think about having to make a decision I push the thought to the back of my mind because I know it’s going to be extremely difficult. I totally want to tour before deciding though!
@thetsaria @allthingstesla - Me too. I’m leaning toward Columbia (for prestige, NYC, Core), despite JHU (money, Baltimore). I’m really glad we have some more time to make decisions.
