Just came back from a 1h run. Feel a bit more relaxed, but I’m still tense.
It will all be fine either way, I know that. It’s just that I’ve fallen in love with every aspect of Columbia - foolish, I know - and I cannot imagine me going anywhere else - again foolish.
But there is nothing more we can do.

Just a mom weighing in: when my older child applied ED to Brown his rejection was almost comical in its bluntness: “This is a final decision. Please do not attempt to apply again in the spring”. In a way it really lightened the mood. He wound up at an excellent top 12 school and a perfect fit. Everyone here will wind up at their perfect fit. You’ve all excelled just by applying and taking this step. Kudos and good luck to you all.
I think I’ve decided I’m going to stay home tomorrow to either mourn or celebrate.
Does anyone else have a feeling that you know you shouldn’t get in and you know there are better students, but you still think you may??
