Did anyone send a mid year transcript?
Hey, current applicant here. I submitted all the application materials necessary by the deadline, but I haven’t submitted the financial aid documents yet. Does this mean my application hasn’t gone through? Thanks for any help.
@Kd6410 Yeah my school sent my senior fall grades
@multianshul Did they do it electronically? My counselor said he can only send it by mail (which GS denied when I called) so I never bothered sending them since they wouldn’t get there in time I assumed. I live in Texas so it would take at least a week
I think they just sent it in by mail. At this point, I recommend that you upload it to the application portal just so they have a record of it. Perhaps you could also tell your counselor to get in contact with GS and find a way to send it in electronically.
@jvds97 The financial aid paperwork wont impact your application review. It will impact getting financial aid.
@multianshul I emailed my counselor and asked for an unofficial transcript so I can upload it - thanks for the idea!
@Kd6410 Yep, no problem!
@Kd6410 yeah honestly the CC curse is only because the people willing to post stats are going to be ones who are comfortable sharing it, which would be higher, or as you stated helicopter parents bragging. i’m sure that many who just stalk CC and never post at all have much worst stats
Has anyone had their berkeley interview? Mine is on Wednesday and I want to know what kind of questions they’ve been asking.
I just had my interview and it was mostly just about current events with a few questions on why I wanted to apply to the program, how I found it, and why my specific region of focus.
Anyone have a reply from Columbia Sci Po? Interview date, rejection, acceptance?
Thank all, good luck!
@Parisislovely Not yet - I’m waiting and keeping fingers crossed!!
Yeah that is how mine went. The sciences po rep was the one who asked about current events. Both reps from each school were very nice and friendly
Two more weeks for Columbia… I really hate waiting
does anyone know anything about the Menton interview?
Hey!! I’m a 1A in Reims. Most interviews go the same way, they first ask you a bit about the program and why you are interested. They also look at your file and essays and ask about your career plans/majors and your background too. Then they usually ask you to elaborate about a topic/issue you are interested (in my case it was women’s rights). But make sure you are really prepared!! They started asking me about maternity leave in Europe and I had no clue haha. If it gets to that, be honest and say you’re not completely familiar with that subject and steer the conversation in a different direction, they really don’t mind and want to hear you talk about things you know. I think it’s pretty much the same for all campuses. I did my interview at Columbia, which was a little nervewracking but really cool at the same time. Don’t be too nervous!! They just want to hear if you can speak eloquently about certain topics and that you are intune with world events. Good luck everyone!! Feel free to ask me any more questions if need be
@juliakepcz In your personal opinion, why do you think some students who get interviews don’t get in? I’m very curious about that
@juliakepcz At some point during the interview, do the interviewers start posing their questions in french? (specifically for the Reims campus because I think that they might want to see if the applicant is actually a B2 level or higher)
@juliakepcz What exactly is the process? D was called back for a second interview round for Berkeley/SP. When is it considered semi finalist? What comes after second round of interviews? Who are the second round interviewers? What comes after second round interviews? Thanks!
