sorry guys, I did not have the ability to open the letter for some hours and I was really panicking whether it was something important which would not have been very likely because a) it is too early for decisions and b) I do not live in the US (hence the weird timing of my post). Turned out it was just an advertisement from weeks ago that was first missent to the Cayman Islands somehow and then took some time to arrive to my home. I was so worried about nothing for the whole day!
Haha Grasping at straws, but does anyone know when they usually release the date of the acceptance release? :))
@notlimah_hsirrap From 2009-15, they released it on the second thursday of december. However, last year it was the second monday. I’m not sure about before '09 though.

No one knows the date for sure yet; you can look back in the thread and see that everyone is just as clueless as you are. I’m thinking there’s a strong possibility of the 7th, but I think it could also be the 11th if they do another Monday, and I’m not sure about the 14th because it would be later than usual for them. I’d prefer a Thursday, since getting a rejection on a Monday would be terrible lol.
Also, something also to note is that Questbridge decisions come out Dec 1, so some people might be announcing their acceptance on this thread throughout the coming week.

Y’all I am dying. This morning while I was driving to school a good friend called me and I picked up and he started to say something about his dad being in Columbia (as in South Carolina) and my heart went into overdrive and I had to like, focus on not accidentally driving into somebody. This waiting thing is tough.

Just curious, has anyone spoken to their GC about decision release dates yet? On last year’s thread, a couple of people were commenting on how their GCs knew the date already around this time.
@mysticmangoqueen my GC doesn’t know (yet, at least). She actually asked ME if I had any recent updates haha
it’s crazy to think that a few people on this thread will get into columbia and the rest of the thread wont (or maybe none of us will get in…yikes!)
despite all that, im hoping we all get favorable decisions in about one or two weeks!! <3

If they’re planning on releasing next thursday, we should get an email notifying us sometime tomorrow. If we don’t I think it’s pretty safe to assume they’ll release monday the 11th. At this point I just want to know my decision, good or bad, just so I can stop worrying and move on lol
My GC got a letter sent through the mail to her confirming the applicants from my school, and it’s exact words about halfway through the document we’re “Early Decision applicants will be notified of admission decisions on December 14.” I swear I’m not making this up, because I’ve been dying to know anything for the past month now just like you guys. So this could be legit, or it could just be them trying to save face in case some come out late or something idk. As of right now I believe it, but it does seem hella late soooooo…

That’s my birthday and I swear to god if I get rejected that day I’m going to become a hermit in a forest and live in a cave for the rest of time. I would love for it not to be the 14th 
In slightly better news, however, my anatomy teacher managed to procure three human brains that we’re dissecting in class tomorrow and even though I’m totally a humanities type of gal, I’m so excited!! Nothing like the origin of all human thought in your own hands to make you think a little deeper 
@hotcheetooooos Dec 14? that really sucks tbh, but i guess i see why they chose that date. it’s still almost unreasonably late though and i would’ve preferred a 7 or 11 release date ://
i dont have any reason to doubt you but im just confused why nobody elses GC got that letter, and theres still a small chance she couldve misread it or something too. could you maybe try contacting her tomorrow and double checking with her?
i think i might email my GC tomorrow too and see if she knows anything or got any letter
