who got into the science of psychology ?

i got an email saying to check my application status, and when i did, nothing showed about whether or not i got in… whatsup with that?

application status only tells you if they received ur application or not
the decision is in a separate email

Im going in session 2, email me if your going in session 2

I got into communicating with consumers with session 2

also got into session 2, doing corporate valuation w/ housing

I got into Advanced Creative Writing, Session 2.
I have a quick question: I’m going to be commuting so I’m worried that I won’t make friends. Is it difficult to have fun when you’re commuting, and are there any other commuters? I’ve been reading up and apparently the commuters are excluded from almost everything, and I don’t live in NYC (I’m staying with family) so I don’t really have any friends there.

i’m doing language and identity, is anyone on here taking that as well? all i’ve seen is people doing bio or consumer/marketing :P

I’m a little worried about being a commuter too. Do you make friends?

of course you make friends it’s just a matter of how many, if you hang out in a small group the chance of you guys having fun isn’t going to be that great compare to hanging out with a bigger group of people that has an equal amount of male and female.
If you sit back and wait for people to approach you, i don’t think you’re going to make friends so get out there!

amurd and h1e2: I attended the program last summer, and my writing class was almost entirely made up of commuters… so don’t worry! I wasn’t a commuter, but my commuter class was my primary group of friends.

Hey I’m doing both sessions as well. Session 1: Leadership in Law and Session 2: Trial Advocacy. Awesome to know someone is going to be doing both sessions with me.

Lauangela,
Yeah I’m attending Communicating with Consumers (s2) as well, along with a friend from school :)

Is there anything in particular we need to know to prepare for the program? Anything to bring/avoid? The official site gives me nothing really…

actually this is my first time as well so im not sure but probably just the usually things like pencil case, notebook etc. and then you can just refer to the things they suggest bringing or something like that

business of sports session 2 anyone?

Ah ok. Thanks anyway :)

Btw does anybody know how many people will be there (all courses combined)? I joined the fb group linked above and it has over 300 ppl… That’s with both sessions, but then again, I doubt more than a third of everyone attending will have joined it.

I’m in Business of Sports as well.

There are roughly 700 kids here for Session I.

Above post refers to only HSP, there are also kids from DDC (for the impoverished) and a leadership group that also come to Columbia. I am not aware if they will remain here during Session II.
